Meet the artists:

 

Margi and Italo, two very talented photographers joined together and created Spektra photography in July of 2005. Together they venture out to meet new people and create beautiful photography. Initially photographing local bands, together this great connection turned into the start of Spektra Photography.

           

Margaret M. Tobey is a graduate of Hallmark Institute of Photography, Turners Falls, Massachusetts, Class of 2000. 

 

Italo L. Centore is a graduate of New York Institute of Photography, New York, New York,

Class of 2001. 

           

Passion is the best way to describe Spektra. Our goal is to provide our clients with images that capture our subjects’ soul and personality.

           

Margi specializes in children portraits. Her style relies little on props to uncover the true expression of her subjects. She enjoys chasing the children while capturing candid moments. Children respond to her with comfort and ease.

 

After becoming a first time dog owner, Margi carries that same passion and technique into her

pet photography.

           

Italo specializes in weddings. He has a relaxed attitude while photographing the special day.  He loves being a part of the wedding and photographing the day as it unfolds.  He has a fun sense of humor.  Although you might see Italo in a helicopter these days capturing views from the sky.

Margi and Italo reside in Connecticut.  Margi lives with her husband Steve (professional percussionist) and her two dogs Wienerschnitzel and Ernastine. 

 

Italo lives with his wife Tina and his two cats Phoebe and Cole.
